BergWaldWeg trail on Penken in the Zillertal valley

The BergWaldWeg trail on Penken is a little longer, but no less charming. It leads from the Penkenbahn mountain station to the middle station of the Finkenberger Almbahnen cable cars. Covering a distance of around 4.7 kilometres, the hike takes about 1.5 hours and offers ever-changing views, including the Ahorn mountain opposite and the Stilluptal valley.

This trail is particularly atmospheric when the winter sun shines through the snow-covered treetops and bathes the landscape in soft light. The Finkenberger Almbahn cable car makes it easy to vary the ascent or descent.

Starting at the fire station, the approximately 4.7-kilometre-long trail leads through snow-covered forests and across wide slopes.
