Your hosts – hospitality straight from the heart
As the third of four children, Franz-Josef was living the sandwich child syndrome – and had to break free, looking for experiences, adventure and urban life. He travelled through France, England, America and Australia, studied international economics, worked hard and got to know the world's big cities. He fell in love with Sydney and New York right away – his absolute favourite cities. But his true love he found back home: Katharina.
The business graduate is cut from the same cloth: She loves the rich traditions of the Alps, which run deep in her family. She considers herself a perfectionist and also has a great passion for big cities, travel, fashion and design. The time she spent in London and Milan had a lasting impact on her.

Out of tradition – our hotel concept
What is the true meaning of ‘tradition’? What do we mean by it? And how does it affect you, our guest? Valid questions! We like to think of it as more a feeling or a mindset rather than a rigid concept. Tradition.Reloaded! is an attempt to give our hotel a new face and a new spirit without leaving the past behind. Integration, not exclusion – the hospitality of the 21st century is open-minded while remaining deeply committed to tradition.
After all, we are a lot more than just a hotel near Innsbruck: We’re all part of the ZILLERTALERHOF community. Guests, hosts, employees and suppliers all form a friendly, respectful unit on an equal footing. We all work together, everyone is an essential part of the whole. Hierarchies are a thing of the past, the time has come for heterarchies. Every single employee has an essential task to fulfil – with motivation, ongoing training and a dash of the rock’n’roll spirit. That too is Tradition.Reloaded!
